The Research Council of Norway signs with Exie

Exie are proud to announce that they today signed a deal with The Research Council of Norway. The deal is to implement a new budgeting system for the Research Council, first for their administrative budgeting and subsequently for the entire research programme butgetting.

Exie wins the deal in competition with the likes of Agresso and SAP.

“We are a demanding customer, and our budgeting system must be able to handle internal workflow processes, provide a close connection between numbers and text as well as the use of many different categories of research funding and expenses.
We felt that Exie understood our requirements and needs at an early stage in the process. We translated our requirement specifications to English and sent it for review by a Gartner analyst. Together we concluded that our requirements demand more than what a standard budgeting tool can deliver, and that Exies toolbox system would be the best choice. Exie was also competitive with regards to their software licenses and total project cost,” says Wilhelm Friis- Baastad, Divisional Director of IT in the Research Council of Norway.

“The Research Council of Norway is a very competent and demanding customer. They have been very clear about their requirements and they have been very professional throughout the entire purchasing process. Winning against SAP and Agresso is of course very satisfying, but our focus has always been to deliver an excellent solution, tailored to the customer’s needs. We are delighted to be able to welcome the Council into our portfolio of customers”, says CEO of Exie, Kjetil Hopland.
