Bjørn Rist steps down as CEO of Exie

CEO Bjørn Rist, has decided to step down from his position in Exie effective 17th August this year.

Says Rist; “In the phase the company is now entering into, carefully growing the customer base and focussing more on OEM-partnerships, it is better to let someone else take over”.

“In my time in Exie we have delivered good results and very innovative and solid new product. I am proud of the results the employees and myself have achieved. It is now in the best interest of the shareholders, the employees and myself that I pass the helm to someone else”, he continues.

Kjetil Hopland, who has been with the company since 2002, and has until now held the position as Chief Delivery Officer, will replace Rist.

Exie’s largest shareholder, Verdane Capital’s representative on the board of non-executive directors, Andes Thuve appreciates the effort Rist has made for the company. Thuve is a firm believer in the Exie 2.0 product and in the company as a whole. He is very pleased that Hopland takes over the helm of Exie.

Kjetil Hopland has vast experience from working with Exie, first as a client then as an employee and later as a senior executive.

“I am very much looking forward to embarking on this exciting opportunity I have been given. My team of senior executives and employees gives me every confidence in assuring Bjørn that he has left this ship in very safe hands”, concludes Hopland.

Exie Enters Partnership with mBricks to Offer Business Intelligence Applications to Enterprise Users

Oslo, Norway – 02 December 2008 – Exie, a pioneering Norwegian Performance Management software company today announced partnership with the Norwegian mobile technology provider mBricks. The agreement enables Exie to expand its support for Performance Management solutions on the mobile platform.

In less than ten years, Exie has built the strongest competence centre of BI and Performance Management in Norway. With its ‘People-Driven performance management’ solutions the company has taken a significant position in the market. To further develop Exie, the company now extends its focus on the mobile channel. ‘Involvement from the whole organisation to improve performance – that’s the Exie approach’ says Exie CEO Bjørn Rist. ‘There should be no barriers. Employees expect access to the system anywhere, at any time. That’s why we have focus also on the mobile platform.’ He adds; ‘To be a winner in today’s competitive market you have to be ‘always-on’, and we offer our users that opportunity.’

The parties have a mutual ambition of launching the first version of the new mobile application during 2009. The application will be based on the mBricks technology. ‘It started with mobile e-mail, now, we see a significant trend of more comprehensive enterprise software systems, such as BI, ERP and CRM moving to the mobile platform. Business critical applications are accessed from the palm of your hand’ says mBricks CEO Svein Therkelsen, ‘by using mBricks, these applications can run securely on regular mobile phones. It’s amazing to see what Exie has accomplished in short time. The increased focus on mobile solutions fit into the pattern of an innovative company.’
