Bautas choose Exie

Bautas are planning to get more conscious and systematic with Exie’s software.

 

Bautas is the largest equipment rental and outsourcing company in Norway. Recently the company chose Exie as supplier of IT-solutions for dashboard, financial reporting and variance handling through comments and measures connected to KPI’s. Bautas reported a 2007 turnover of more than €140 million and employs 661 people.

 

• We are mainly going to use the solution to increase financial overview. The managers of all our regional departments will each month review their figures and make corrections in Exie. We will also add comments to the figures in the software, Exie provide us with a tool that allow us to comment in a very efficient manner. Furthermore it is important to have available analysis and to follow trends, says Willy Westeng, CFO of Bautas.

 

He also says that the dashboard, with KPI’s and the possibility to describe observations and define action points, will be an important tool to turn negative trends around.

Has potential

Bautas has a long-term perspective on this investment and Westeng believes that the solution will make the organisation more conscious.

In which area do you see most potential with this solution?

• I see that in becoming more conscious in our mix of products. Continuous and systematically work to improve processes, documenting the process and the follow-up will be important. If, for example, KPI’s on rental lifts are poor we can insert action points to improve it. By working systematically we will get more conscious of where our revenue origins and we will increase our bottom line, says Westeng.

CEO of Exie, Bjørn Rist, is very pleased with getting Bautas on their list of customers.
